Photos from my first full day at the McAllen Monitor:

Dale McNallen works on a Habitat for Humanity house. There is an increase in real estate value for Habitat for Humanity, making it harder for residents to pay insurance and other house related costs.

Theressa Wilson, an art teacher at Garza Elementary in McAllen, touches up a partially painted mural. Garza Elementary is a candidate for Primary Years International Baccalaureate, a program to help students become well-rounded in their studies. The mural will help Garza to be considered for membership in the program.
